The Department of Art Education continues its education and training with 1 Professor Dr., 2 Associate Professors Dr., 2 Associate Professors, 1 Lecturer, 2 Dr. Research Assistants. An average of 25 hours of lessons are given weekly in the Department of Art Education.

Our students take artistic practice courses such as Perspective, Drawing, Basic Design, Elective Art Lessons, , Museum Education, as well as theoretical field courses in art education such as Contemporary Art, History of Western Art, Art Criticism, Philosophy of Art, Visual Arts Learning and Teaching Approaches, Visual Arts Education, Artistic Development of the Child, Visual Arts Teaching Programs, Introduction to Education, Education Philosophy, Education Psychology, Sociology of Education, Teaching Principles and Methods, Teaching Technologies, History of Turkish Education, Research Methods in Education, Classroom Management, Morality and Ethics in Education, Measurement and Evaluation in Education, Turkish Education System and School Managament, Teaching Practice, Special Education and Inclusion, School Guidance, and service courses such as Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History, Turkish Language, Foreign Language, Information Technologies. Students also take elective teaching professional knowledge and general culture courses in line with their individual interests and desires as of the third semester of their undergraduate education. In the foyer area of ​​the department, students have the opportunity to open individual or group exhibitions regarding their artistic works during the year. In addition, in the conference hall used in common with the Department of Music Education, environments are created that aim to bring together invited guests with students, with recitals, presentations, and conferences that will allow students to meet not only in the workshop but also with other disciplines. There are three classrooms and ten workshops in the building.

Basic Design, Printing, Sculpture, Drawing, Art Stuido courses are held in these workshops. Graduates of the department can work as art teachers in the primary and secondary education departments of schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and private schools, and can work as freelance artists in art workshops, and they can also complete their postgraduate education and work at universities.

Graduates of program of Arts and Crafts Education can work as teacher of arts and crafts for the Ministry of Education on condition of being successful in KPSS (national employment exam). Also they can work in private schools or art courses. Their way is open to be artists. They can have post graduate education in the departments of Fine Arts or Art Education.
